Pakistan unwilling to play against Afghanistan in ICC World Cup warm-up match

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Pakistan expressed no desire to participate in the warm-up game for the ICC World Cup against Afghanistan.

The PCB wants to play a non-Asian side in the warm-up game because it will already play Afghanistan in the Asia Cup before the World Cup, according to media reports.

In this regard, the PCB had also sent a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Prior to this year’s World Cup in India, the PCB had asked the ICC to change the venues of their games against Australia and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the official ICC Cricket World Cup schedule, according to a media report, may be revealed on June 27.
