F.P. Report

WASHINGTON: Pakistan Ambassador to Washington, Asad M. Khan has said that Pakistan wants peace in the world especially in the South Asia because without a peace Pakistan will not be able pursue its development goals until and unless we have a peaceful neighborhood.

Ambassador Asad M. Khan said this while addressing on ‘Pakistan’s priorities’ at United States Institute for Peace (USIP). Asad Khan said that the Pakistan government wants to build a “Naya Pakistan” (New Pakistan) in order to pursue a people-friendly, development-driven and peace-centric agenda.

Regarding the US-Pakistan relations, he said Pak-US relationship is as old as Pakistan itself and will continue in the better interest of both the countries and for the development and bringing peace in the region.

Ambassador added that over the last seven decades, we have pursued common goals inspired by shared ideals and common objectives. We have achieved remarkable successes whenever we worked together.
