Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan increase by 41.40% to $723 mln

ISLAMABAD (APP): Pakistan’s export of goods and services to Afghanistan witnessed an increase of 41.40 percent during the first eleven months the fiscal year 2024-25 as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of last year,

The overall exports to Afghanistan were recorded at US $723.442 million during July-May (2024-25) against exports of US $511.627 million during July-May (2023-24), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.

On a year-on-year basis, the exports to Afghanistan decreased by 23.60 percent from $74.407 million in May 2024, against the exports of $56.843 million in May 2025.

Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports to Afghanistan however increased by 31.23 percent during May 2025 as compared to the exports of $43.315 million in April 2025, the SBP data revealed.

Overall Pakistan’s exports to other countries witnessed an increase of 4.04 percent in the first eleven months, from US $28.536 billion to US $29.690 billion, the SBP data revealed.

On the other hand, the imports from Afghanistan into the country during the months under review were recorded at US $24.720 million against US $10.188 million last year, showing an increase of 142.63 percent in July-May (2024-25).

On a year-on-year basis, the imports for Afghanistan witnessed a decrease of 30.39 percent from US $2.800 million in May 2024, against the imports of US $1.949 million in May 2025.

On a month-on-month basis, the imports from Afghanistan into the country also decreased by 26.28 percent during May 2025, as compared to the imports of US $2.644 million during April 2025, according to the data.

The overall imports into the country witnessed an increase of 11.47 per cent, from $48.518 billion to US $54.084 billion, according to the data.
