Pakistan’s Indus Motor Company awarded as Leading Global Innovator

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company, Pakistan’s larger automotive manufacturers and distributors and the Toyota partner, has been named as one of the world’s most innovative companies, thanks to its digital transformation of the automotive sector and fostering economic growth and job creation.

With Pakistan’s economy growing, the country’s automotive market continues to increase. Pakistan is Toyota’s leading Asian market, and the Toyota Corolla is Pakistan’s largest-selling automobile brand model.

Anticipating the growth, as Indus Motor Company, a joint venture between House of Habib Pakistan, Toyota Motor Company, and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, increased production to 272 daily vehicles, it digitally transformed with global technology company SAP.

Using SAP’s S/4HANA real-time business suite, Indus Motor Company has realized significant improvement in material requirements planning, improved quality monitoring, and accuracy in sales order processing.

Recognizing its success, Indus Motor Company’s has become the first Pakistani organization to win an SAP Innovation Award, in the category of “Process Innovator.” Indus Motor Company joined a very select group:the SAP Innovation Awards 2019 are presented to only 48 organizations out of over 425,000 customers.
