Pakistan’s stature improved globally: Fawad says

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Pakistan’s stature had improved greatly globally due to its mature response in the recent standoff with India.

Talking to news-persons here, he said the international media had appreciated Pakistan’s mature response while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their media had become a laughing stock in the world because of their warmongering.

Even sane elements in India were criticizing Modi for putting the lives of billions of people of the Sub-continent at stake for his political interests, he added.

The minister said the tension between the two countries had decreased during past few days and the credit for which went to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Armed Forces, Parliament and the entire political leadership of the country. The entire nation showed maturity, he added.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan adopted a principled stance and all the friendly countries supported Pakistan’s viewpoint.

Fawad said the National Security Committee had announced in January steps for devising an administrative and economic plan to curb extremism in the country and the ongoing action against banned organizations was its continuation.

He said Pakistan had revised its visa policy, by announcing visa at entry facility for nationals of 70 countries to promote tourism, which would ultimately contribute to the national economy.

The minister said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was focused on boosting trade and steering the country out of the economic crisis.

To a question, Fawad urged all the citizens to pay due respect to the minorities.
