Palestinian killed by Israeli airstrike in eastern Gaza

GAZA CITY (AA): Israeli warplanes on Tuesday evening struck a site in the eastern Gaza Strip affiliated with the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, according to witnesses.

The attack left at least one Palestinian dead and another two injured, witnesses said.

In an earlier statement, the Israeli army said it had shelled a separate Hamas position after an Israeli officer was slightly injured during “violent” Palestinian riots in the southern Gaza Strip.
