PAT all set to stage sit-in at Mall road despite court order
LAHORE: Despite the Lahore High Court (LHC) and city administration orders the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) is all set to stage a sit-in at Mall road as its chief Tahir-ul-Qadri announced and the preparations for the said program was underway.
LHC and District administration were earlier rejected the request of staging sit-in protest at Mall road which was announced by its party chief but the PAT seem to be in no mood to follow the court and administration and they were finalizing the preparations for the sit-in and all the equipments including chairs, tables , sound systems and bullet proof container of Tahir-ul-Qadri was shifted to Istanbul Chowk before the sit-in.
PAT said that they were demanding justice in Model Town incident in which innocent people were murdered and injured in the incident and still the culprits were enjoying out there.
Meanwhile, chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed reached Lahore to participate in the protest and PML-Q also showed its support for PAT.
