PBCC to hold Matric exams from June 17

LAHORE: The Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has released the schedule for Matric and Intermediate examinations.

A meeting of PBCC was held in Lahore on Tuesday. The meeting has asked all the educational boards of Punjab to hold Matric exams from June 17.

The PBCC decided to hold 9th grade exams from 27 July.

It also directed the concerned boards to conduct Intermediate Part 1 exams from August 11 and Intermediate Part 2 exams from July 2 this year.

Matriculation results will be declared on August 30. While Intermediate Part 2 results will be out on Sept 14.

Results of Class 9th will be announced on Oct 29, and Intermediate Part 1 results will be declared on Nov 14.

The PBCC has decided not to hold any practical exams this year.

Earlier the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to refer the matter of opening the educational institutes to the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC). It has been decided to refer the matter of reopening educational institutes to the IPEMC. But it has also been decided that board exams all across the country will be held in any case.
