PCB decides to rope in South Africa’s Morne Morkel as bowling coach

F.P. Report

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint South Africa’s former pacer Morne Morkel as bowling coach of the national squad.

Reports said the PCB had appointed Umar Gul as interim coach, adding that now it had reached an agreement with the South African cricketer.

The new bowling coach is expected to join Pakistan team during upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, which will be played in July this year.

Mr Morkel played international cricket between 2006 and 2018. He was a right-arm fast bowler and lower order left-handed batsman.

The training camp for the Sri Lanka series would be held in first week of July.
