ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to postpone the semi-finals of the National T20 Cup after the operation was started against protesters in Faizabad inter-change early Saturday morning.
The PCB officials said that the semi-finals of the National T20 were scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi on Saturday however because of the unrest in the area, the matches were rescheduled and now it will be played on Sunday. He added that PCB is closely monitoring the situation.
The first semi-final is between Lahore Whites and Faisalabad, while the second is between Lahore Blues and FATA.
Earlier, a policeman was martyred and at least 170 people injured, including several security officials, in clashes with protesters after authorities commenced an operation to disperse the weeks-long sit-in at Faizabad interchange earlier today.
