PCB summons fast bowler Sami in PSL spot-fixing probe

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned the fast bowler Muhammad Sami to appear before its anti-corruption tribunal in spot fixing probe related to Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Muhammad Sami, who is an important player of Islamabad United in PSL and he arrived at the PCB headquarters and he will be questioned by the board’s anti-corruption unit in relation to the spot fixing.

Both the openers of Islamabad United, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have already been suspended by the PCB for five years after they were found guilty for involvement in spot-fixing.

Similarly, fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz were also suspended for twelve and two months, respectively, for not reporting the corrupt approach to the board in a timely manner.

The probe is ongoing against Karachi Kings batsman Shahzaib Hasan and former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed.
