F.P. Report
LAHORE: The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) took notice of the Intermediate Part-I Sociology book with controversial content and put a ban on its publication, on Tuesday.
The authority banned the book Ainah Emraniyat published by Khalid Book Depot.
The action has been after the educationists raised objections on the ‘controversial content’ that was deemed ‘unethical and immoral.
According to the educationists, many books are being printed in the market without seeking permission, and NOC and PCBT have failed to put an end to this ‘illegal’ practice.
They also deplored the absence of a Complaint Cell which was announced to be set up for objections and complaints regarding book content.
