PDM announces to move No-Confidence Motion against PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has decided to move a No-Confidence Motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the parliament.

According to reports, this decision was taken by the PDM in a summit held here at the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) secretariat located at Model Town, Lahore on Friday.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman presided over the PDM meeting and declared the situation favourable for tabling ‘N0-Confidence Motion’. He also declared that the scheduled Long March to be held on March 23.

In the meeting, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif proposed to table a No-Confidence Motion in the house that was seconded by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Shehbaz said they will try their best to topple the government while Maulana said they will use all tactics to send Prime Minister Imran Khan back home.

They avoided announcing any date for the Motion without proper preparations in the house and formed a liaison committee for making contacts with the parliamentarians.

Maulana Fazl also announced that they would not make contacts PTI members but the government-allied parties for supporting the Motion because fighting on two fronts is not wise.

The PDM head said they will not give a date of no-confidence motion without preparation. He confirmed that the scheduled long march of PDM will be held on March 23.

The PDM summit was two and half hours long in which the PML-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif, Akhtar Mengal, and Aftab Ahmad Sherpao also participated through a video link.

Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Rana Sanaullah, Saad Rafique, and Akram Durrani were also present in the PDM meeting.

Earlier, PML-N President Mian Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Maulana Fazlur Rehman at the PML-N Office to head the PDM meeting.
