Peace in Karachi to bring investment, says President

KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi has said that peace brings investment and will be increased in peaceful Karachi.

He was chairing a meeting on Community Police liaison Committee (CPLC) here on Monday. Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, CPLC Chief Zubair Habib and officials concerned attended the meeting.

President also visited the Reporting center of the CPLC on the occasion.

Dr Arif Alvi directed that scope of CPLC be extended to other districts of Sindh province. He also directed to install CCTV cameras at police stations.

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said on the occasion that CPLC also work against harassment against women and controlling narcotics. CPLC Chief Zuibair Habib briefing the President on the performance of the organization said that crime rate has substantially been decreased in Karachi city.

He said CPLC offices are also being established in Hyderabad and jamshoro.

Meanwhile, a three-member delegation of MQM Pakistan led by Amir Khan called on the President and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail.
