People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas

KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, while delivering good news to the people, announced the commencement of the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas and the addition of two new routes to the Pink Bus Service starting from April 19.

A meeting was convened in Karachi under the chairmanship of Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, Mass Transit, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, Sharjeel Inam Memon. Secretary of Transport, Asad Zamin, and Sindh Mass Transit Authority MD Kamal Dayo were in attendance. During the meeting, it was decided to add ten new buses to the pink bus service.

Speaking on the occasion of the meeting, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that the new routes of the pink bus service would be inaugurated on April 19. Additionally, the People’s bus service would commence for the people of Mirpurkhas from April 20, while a cashless automated Fare Collection Smart Card system would be launched from April 25.

He emphasized that the vision of the People’s Party leadership and the Sindh government is to provide affordable and comfortable bus services throughout Sindh. A robust transport network will not only create new employment opportunities but also promote economic activities in the region.

Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized that the launch of the People’s Bus Service across Sindh will bring revolutionary relief to the people. Additionally, he highlighted that establishing the best transport network will also attract trade and investment to the province.

He directed that the transport projects should be completed soon so that the people can obtain relief. In the meeting, various transport projects, including the Red Line BRT, Green Line, and Yellow Line, were also discussed in detail.
