Peshawar Small Industrial Estate: PESCO assures early completion of work on independent feeder
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), during a meeting with industrialists, assured the early completion of work on independent feeder for Small Industrial Estate situated at Kohat road Peshawar and elimination of theft on independent line of seal wood power feeder.
A delegation of industrialists led by Engineer Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz, president of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with Engineer Muhamamd Jabbar Khan, Executive Chief Officer of the PESCO at the wapda house here on Wednesday.
Khadim Hussain, General Manager of the PESCO, Director Kashif and Superintendent Officer, and other high officials were present during the meeting.
Maqsood Pervaiz informed on the occasion that the 11 kv line of sealed wood independent feeder has tripped owing to putting direct hooks by residents in Shakas area, adjacent to Khyber district because of which industrial process was badly affected, besides the industrialists are being faced huge financial losses. He demanded the strict action against power theft and changing route of the independent feeder line.
Furthermore, the SCCI chief said electricity is being supplied through sarbulandpura line of Shahi Bagh grid to commercial and domestic consumers on charsadda road and ring Road, including business centres, shopping malls, hospitals, CNG stations and petrol pumps but the residential consumers were stealing electricity on this main line, which has caused excessive power outages.
He said the load has been increased with construction of new business centres, shopping malls, markets, hospitals, CNG stations and petrol pumps on Peshawar Ring Road so the area is required to supply electricity through independent feeder to end the excessive power outages.
The SCCI president said a feasible report was so far completed regarding independent feeder for supply electricity to business centres and other consumers located on Peshawar ring road.
He said the PESCO director Kashif told them that the work on the independent feeder would be started next week.
Maqsood Pervaiz said that an independent feeder for Small Industrial Estate Kohat Road Peshawar was approved very earlier and payment had so far been deposited to PESCO through Small Industrial Development Board (SIDB). But, he lamented that despite the passage of one year, the work was yet not completed on the independent feeder.
On the occasion, the PESCO CEO, Engr Jabbar Khan assured the SCCI delegation that they would take measures to eliminate power pilferage on line of seal wood feeder. He added if it would be possible, so the line route will be changed. He assured that the electricity will be supplied through independent feeder to business/commercial hubs, CNG stations and petrol pumps situated at Peshawar Ring Road.
The PESCO CEO furthermore assured that the work on installation of independent feeder for Small Industrial Estate Kohat Road Peshawar would be completed shortly. SCCI chief thanked the company CEO Engr Jabbar Khan for holding a meeting with the business community and assurance to resolve their issues on priority basis.
