PESHAWAR: The formation of 2nd inquiry commission regarding petrol crisis in June 2020 has been challenged at Peshawar High Court seeking cancellation letter sent to policy wing petroleum division.
The writ petition has filed by Syed Abid Shah businessman in petroleum industry through Abdul Latif Afridi and Gohar Shah Advocates at PHC. The writ sating that due to flaws in inquiry commission regarding petroleum crisis another committee was constituted for the purpose but members of the commission had re-nominated.
The writ petition further seeking cancellation of letter sent to Deputy Director Policy Wing petroleum in which Director General Federal Investigation Agency, Federal Government, ADG FIA Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh and Deputy Director FIA Sajjid Akram are made respondents in the case.
The writ further added that commission was made under chair of Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh in which Sajjid Ikram was a member who submitted report regarding petrol crisis in December 2020 which was incomplete. The writ petition stated in incomplete report various points were neglected of public interests and audit of petroleum companies also conducted in the light of commission report. The writ petition seeking to cancel nomination Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh and Sajjid Ikram because they were member of earlier commission and also demanding abrogation letter to policy wing petroleum in this regard.
