F.P. Report

LAHORE: Javed Hamid, who has been working as director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore for one-and-a-half years, has turned out to be a matric-pass.

In a shocking revelation, it has been found out that Javed Hamid had been appointed on daily wages basis and got promoted to grade 19 owing to recommendation.

Javed Hamid was appointed during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) tenure and got promotions afterwards. 26 officials with MSc degrees and 40 graduates (B.A) are working under the matric-pass director.

Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) has termed the promotion of Javed Hamid illegal and directed the authorities to take immediate action against him.

However, PHA DG Muzaffar Sial and other officials are reluctant in launching crackdown against the director and the case against him has been put in limbo. PHA DG admitted that Javed Hamid’s appointment and promotion was illegal.
