PHC directs PEDO to submit comments

PESHAWAR: The two-member bench of Peshawar High Court comprising of Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah directed Provincial Energy Development Organization (PEDO) to submit comments in case regarding new recruitment in the organization, on Monday.
The counsel for petitioner Babar Khan Yousafzai Advocate informed PHC that PEDO has advertised posts of Basic Pay Scale (BPS-18) and above for World Bank Projects, Balakot Project and Lavi project.
The counsel informed that petitioner namely Syed Aziz Ahmed and others serving at BPS-16 and above at the organization but were neglected for the posts despite their experience and eligibility.
The counsel for petitioner Babar Khan Advocate argued that petitioners had been neglected and bypassed to appoint candidates on nepotism for the posts.
The counsel informed that rules for PEDO has not been framed but the organization’s management ignoring their employees and favoring outside.
The counsel Babar Khan Advocate argued to Peshawar High Court to stop recruitment processes and interviews, howerver court directed respondents to submit comment before next hearing.
