PHC grants bail to alleged kidnapper

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has granted bail culprit allegedly involved in kidnapping and torturing transgender, on Wednesday.

According to prosecution, transgender Azan alias Payal has lodged complaint at Swabi police station 17th December 2022 stating that Haroon Rashid resident of Totalai area of Buner has kidnapped him from Shah Mansoor and kept at Jalibai while torturing the transgender.

The counsel for petitioner Syed Mubashir Shah Advocate informed that trial court has rejected bail petition of Haroon Rashid and PHC has approached to obtained relief.

The counsel argued that neither medical nor FSL report supporting prosecution and added that First Information Report was also registered after delay. The single bench of PHC comprised of Justice Rooh-ul-Amin has ordered to release petitioner on bail after conclusion of arguments.
