PHC grants status quo to garrison employees

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Shakeel Ahmad and Syed Arshad Ali has stopped evacuation of educational institutes Cant and Garrison employees from residential quarters, on Wednesday.

The counsel Shah Faisal Advocate argued that 1992 Prime Minister has declared attached department under ministry of defense while it is declared subordinate department which will impact thousands of employees.

The counsel argued that now ministry of housing has issued notification to evacuate apartments because they are employees of subordinate department.

PHC has issued notices to federation along with other respondents to submit reply and granted status quo while adjourned further hearing.
