PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued notices to Inspector General Police (IGP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deputy Inspector General Police (DIG) headquarter and to commandants of Police training school (PTS) Kohat and Police Training College (PTC) Hangu, on Thursday in a writ petition filed by six cops seeking promotion of their ranks .
Rizwanullah and five others filed writ petition informing the court that they had completed three years as drill instructor at PTC and PTS and they are eligible for junior score but deprived from the right. The counsel for petitioner Ahmad Farooq Advocate argued the case before honorable court and informed that junior officials were nominated for training on favoritism.
The single bench comprising of Justice Ahmad Ali heard the petition and issued notices to IGP, DIG and commandants PTC and PTS to submit comments and hearing was adjourn till 8 January 2020.
