PHC orders release of alleged smuggler

PESHAWAR: Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim of Peshawar High Court has ordered released of alleged smuggler involved in carriage 46 kilograms drugs via vehicle on bail, on Saturday.

According to prosecution, Excise police has recovered 20 kilograms hashish and 26 kilo opium from vehicle on 18th September 2022 on intelligence-based report at Wali Khan Interchange while the alleged smuggle escaped another vehicle.

The counsel Daras Khan Advocate informed that petitioner was arrested after two months after the recovery because Excise police obtained CNIC of Khear Muhammad while he does not the owner of vehicle.

The counsel argued that neither petitioner is arrested from the spot nor case property was produced before Magistrate during his appearance before court which demanding further investigation into the matter.

PHC has ordered release of Khair Muhammad on bail after conclusion of arguments before court.
