PESHAWAR: A divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Syed Arshad Ali ordered department of finance to release funds for Peshawar Zoo within three days.
During hearing Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that how can zoo’s administration is providing food to animals when they didn’t provide salaries to employees from five months.
PHC inquired from Additionally Advocate General Syed Sikandar Shah that their information regarding lack of funds for food in Peshawar Zoo while directed Director Zoo to appear before court.
Director Peshawar Zoo Muhammad Niaz informed that funds are available for food but employees are deprived from salaries.
In the meantime, PHC was informed that issue should be resolved on priority basis while court ordered to release funds within three days and adjourned further hearing.
