PHC rejects husband bail for allege killing of his wife

PESHAWAR: A single bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Fazal Subhan rejected bail plea of alleged killer named Issa Khan, a suspect accused of murdering his wife and attempting to disguise the crime as a suicide, on Friday.

According to prosecution, sufficient evidence available which will implicate the petitioner in the murder of his wife including a statement of the victim’s brother, who alleged that Issa Khan had committed the crime.

The complainant lawyer Shehryar Khan Khilji advocate argued that Issa Khan had committed the offense over domestic disputes with his wife.

The defense, on the other hand, claimed that Issa Khan was innocent and had been falsely implicated in the case. The defense argued that the prosecution’s evidence was circumstantial and that there was no concrete proof of Issa Khan’s involvement in the murder.

PHC’s Justice Fazal Subhan rejected the bail plea of alleged murderer Issa Khan after hearing the arguments from both sides.
