PHC stops increment of BISP beneficiary officials

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has recovered Rs, 2.668434 millionand stopped increment for three years of 22 court officials who were beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), on Tuesday.

PHC had taken strict disciplinary actions against the 22 accused officials of its establishment who were either themselves or theirspouses were receiving BISP Cash grants.

After completion of inquiries the competent authority has been orderedto recover a total amount of         Rs.2668434/- from all concernsand ordered to be deposited in The state Exchequer.

Competent authority has also ordered to withhold Increments of such officials for three years with non-accumulative effect.

The list of accused officials amongst other Govt: Departments, were shared with this Court by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Establishment & Administration Department (Regulation Wing), Peshawar on 14th February, 2020.

Another official namely Mr. Noshad Khan was also dismissed from service after completion of multiple inquiries against him. The charges of misconduct were proved and made him liable for major penalty under rule 4 (1) (b) (iv) of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Civil Servant (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2011.
