PESHAWAR: The two-member bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth and Justice Nasir Mehfooz has stopped health department from remission of increment from an employee of Lady Reading Hospital.
The petitioner Syed Farooq Shah had filed writ petition against departmental inquiry which had recommended remission of last two years increment.
The counsel for petitioner informed the court that adverse action was taken against him as he was part of last year’s protest against amendment in health act.
The honorable court directed secretary health and other respondents to submit comments within fortnight.
PHC commits toward delivery of justice at doorstep
The honorable Peshawar High Court (PHC) has taken one step forward to provide justice at doorsteps by authorizing Superintendent of District and Session Courts for issuance of attested copies of judgment at respective districts, on Wednesday.
In this regard Registrar PHC has issued press release stating that institutions of fresh cases, swearing affidavits for filling in Peshawar High Court and its and issuance of certified copies of record& Judgments of this court can be carried out remotely from offices of District and Session Judges of the respective districts.
The press release also disclosed that Charsadda and Nowshera districts have already geared up to ensure institution and issuance of certified copies. It would be a big step towards mitigating the agonies of general public aspirant of justice at doorstep.
The facility of arguing cases by the counsels/parties before the honorable High Court via video link is also under process.
