F.P. Report
KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to conduct alcohol tests of all its airhostesses.
According to a spokesperson for the PIA, alcohol tests for the airhostesses are being introduced under European Union’s Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) Programme.
According to the directives issued by the PIA, cabin crew’s alcohol tests will begin from February 14.
Breath tests of all crew members on-board PIA flights would be conducted to check if they have alcohol in their system.
Anyone who will refuse the test will be considered a positive case and administrative and legal action will be taken against the crew members if alcohol is found in their system.
