PIA flight land safely after its windscreen cracks mid-air

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight PK-370 landed safely on early Saturday at the Islamabad International Airport after its windscreen cracked mid-air owing to low pressure of oxygen.

Local news channel reported that the PIA flight heading from Karachi to Islamabad experienced a cabin drop in pressure of oxygen mid-air, as a result, a windscreen of the plane developed cracks.

However, the pilot managed to land the plane safely at the Islamabad airport as all passengers remained unhurt.

Sources said the plane developed the technical fault mid-air near Bahawalpur.

It is noteworthy that a Lahore-bound PIA flight had suffered serious damage after a bird hit near Lahore last month. The flight PK-760 was coming from Jeddah to Lahore. The Boeing 777 aircraft received considerable damage due to the bird hit.
