Pir Sialvi postpones demand for Rana Sanaullah’s resignation

SARGODHA (APP): Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi, the custodian of Astana Sial Sharif in Sargodha, has postponed his demand for resignation by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, his nephew confirmed Sunday, following his telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

MPA Nizamuddin Sialvi, nephew of Pir Sialvi, confirmed the development saying the Punjab CM told Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi that Rana Sanaullah is ready to himself appear before him and address his concerns.

“Having spoken to the Punjab CM, Pir Sialvi withdrew an ultimatum given for the provincial law minister’s resignation for the time being,” he said while speaking to Geo News.

It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Zaeem Qadri had also called on Pir Sialvi a few days ago. Pir Sialvi had asked Qadri to ask Rana Sanaullah to publicly explain his position with regard to Ahmedis, recite Kalma and step down as Punjab law minister.

Later during various televised interviews following Qadri’s meeting with Pir Sialvi, Sanaullah said that the people around Pir Sialvi had created misunderstandings and he would soon address their reservations.
