ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to attend the Boao Forum and will leave for China today (Sunday).
Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal will accompany the premier.
Premier Abbasi is expected to meet Chinese President and regional leaders on the sidelines of the event.
Moreover, top leaders from China, Philippines and Singapore are also expected to attend the forum, which is being held from April 8 to April 11.
The forum is being in China’s southern island province of Hainan and Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a important speech at the forum which is known as Asia’s Davos.
Other attendees include Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
