PM Imran Khan announces to establish 15 national parks across country

ISLAMABAD: As a part of post COVID-19 Green Stimulus Vision, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has announced to establish 15 national parks across the country to improve environmental condition.

Addressing a ceremony, the premier told that the parks will cover a land area of over 7300 square kilometers, spanning the mountains in the north to the scrub forests in the plains and a marine protected area in the south of the country.

He said that in the initial phase, almost 5000 direct nature jobs will be generated for the youth.

The PM further stated that Pakistan is rich in natural minerals however, the need is to utilize them in best way.
