PM Imran Khan says he will not resign in any case

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared that he will fight till the end, ruling out tendering resignation in the wake of the prevailing tense political situation in the country.

Talking to newsmen at a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, the prime minister asked “Should I give up even before the fight? I will not resign in any case. Should I quit under pressure from these thieves?”

Imran Khan maintained “We will win the no-confidence match. One will be mistaken if he thinks I will go and sit at home.”

Replying to a question about Ch Nisar Ali, the prime minister said “I had met with Ch Nisar as I have a 40-year-old friendship with him.”

To another query about the military, Imran Khan said “The Army is being wrongly flayed. A strong Army is the need of the country. Had there not been the Army, the country would have divided into three parts.”

The prime minister appealed everyone not to malign the Army for politics.

“Fazlur Rehman is the 12th player of the politics and time has come to oust him from the team,” Imran Khan commented while tacking another question.

He said his “neutral” remarks were blown out of the context. “I uttered those words in the context of encouraging others to do good deeds and stop bad ones,” he added.

To another query, Imran Khan replied “The politics of PPP and PML-N is all about corruption and how to hide it. I will not resign under pressure from these thieves. This mafia does not want progress in the country.”
