ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will start his two-day official visit to Iran from Sunday with the aim to further strengthen bilateral relations in different fields.
According to Foreign Office, PM Imran Khan will visit the country from April 21-22 on the invitation of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. This will be the premier’s first visit to Iran since assuming office.
During the visit, PM Imran will call on Iranian Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei and will also detailed consultations with President Rouhani.
PM Imran will also meet members of the Iranian and Pakistani business community in Iran.
Pakistan’s relations with Iran are marked by close historic and cultural linkages and strong people to people exchanges. Both countries are also members of the Economic Cooperation Organization and Organization of Islamic Cooperation, it added.
