ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has started with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in the chair, on Friday.
Army Chief General Asim Munir, provincial chief ministers and chief secretaries, and senior military officers are present in the meeting.
The apex committee will consider projects in agriculture, minerals and mining, and information technology, official sources have said.
Issues related to investment in Pakistan by Gulf countries and China will be reviewed, they have added.
Matters related to a possible huge investment by Saudi Arabia will also be considered, they stated.
The meeting was being briefed on the recommendations of the SIFC executive committee.
