PM Kakar: We owe martyrs, their families a great deal

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq on Wednesday highly praised the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the defence of the country.

While addressing a ceremony held in connection with the Defence Day celebrations at the national monument Shakarparian, he threw light on the significance of martyrdom in Islam.

“A Shaheed will desire to go to the world and wish to experience the same thing of being killed in the path of Allah again and again,” he pointed out.

“Our martyrs are the crown of our heads. We owe them and their families a great deal. The slightest thing we can do for them is respect the families of the martyrs,” he said.

The prime minister also laid flowers at the national monument and also paid homage to the heroes of the freedom struggle.
