ISLAMABAD: Lashing out at the PTI leadership which is adamant to dissolve the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has rued that those who laid mines in the foundations of economy are now laying mines in the foundations of political system while underlining that political stability is vital to rid the people of inflation.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz declared political stability a prerequisite to rid the nation of rising inflation. He lamented that someone wanted Pakistan to default but we would not let this happen.
Taking a jibe at former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PM Shehbaz said, “People who broke trust of the nation, now want to break assemblies. Their objective is to create political instability in the country.”
He said that loyalty and friendship with Pakistan demanded economic stability in the country.
“Those who laid mines in the foundations of the economy are now plotting to lay mines in the foundations of the political system,” Shehbaz said.
He vowed that as they (collation partners) had rid the nation of a lying and dishonest government with the help of the Constitution, they would also rid the nation of the problems of bread and butter and unemployment.
Shehbaz said that the political miscreants wanted to tell the world by spreading chaos that international tycoons should not invest in Pakistan and flood victims should not settle in their homes.
“The political villains have no part in saving the flood victims from cold, hunger and disease. They are mean-spirited and selfish. It is necessary to get rid of these politically unemployed elements to give employment to the youth,” he added.
Shehbaz urged the nation to reflect why a ‘Fasadi’ bunch of people became active whenever the country started moving towards economic development?
There is no doubt that economic destruction was wrought upon Pakistan through an agenda and the political instability is a continuity of that very agenda, he maintained.
The premier repeated that only political stability and Charter of Economy could guarantee national security and country’s strength.
