PM Shehbaz gives three days deadline to arrest PTI vandals

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to bring to justice all the vandals involved in the ransacking and torching of public buildings, believing that PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his supports are no less than enemies of the country.

He set a deadline of 72 hours for the law enforcement agencies to arrest all those people involved in setting on fire different buildings and infrastructure including the historic Jinnah (Corpse commander) house.

PM Shehbaz stated this on the occasion of his visit to Safe City Authority Headquarters in Lahore on Saturday.

He said that his heart bleeds to see the condition of the Jinnah House torched by the PTI vandals.

Violent clashes broke out by the PTI supporters after the arrest of their leader Imran Khan inside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday.

Shehbaz was of the view that the PTI has done what the enemy could not have done in 75 years. He said that the armed groups of the PTI attacked the police and security officials.

“The rioters who have damaged public property across the country will be punished,” he said.

Shehbaz also vowed action against those who orchestrated this plan. He lamented that the planners incurred immense damage to public property.

“The miscreants involved in rioting will be punished as per the constitution,” Shehbaz maintained.

He said that the PTI miscreants have done such things which the enemy was unable to do.

He said that our security forces have rendered countless sacrifices during their fight against terrorists.

The prime minister enunciated that all cases against the rioters would be sent to the anti-terrorism court, warning that ‘if anyone tries to interfere, then it will not be tolerated’.

He also desired the enhancement of number of anti-terrorism courts in the province where the legal proceedings against all these culprits should commence swiftly.

He said that if the government have to pursue cases even in the night, it would pursue them.

The prime minister said that Shuhda and Ghazis were humiliated. He directed the relevant authorities to immediately arrest all those elements who were involved in different abhorrent and unpardonable incidents of vandalism, attacks and arson on May 9, inflicting massive damages to public and private properties across Punjab province.

The prime minister said the whole nation was in an utter state of grief over such painful incidents except Imran Niazi and his armed followers.

Earlier in a tweet, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lamented Imran Khan’s statement about Army Chief, terming it a ‘reflection of a diseased and obsessive mindset’.
