PM Shehbaz rules out any compromise on state’s writ

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that there would be no compromise on establishing the state’s writ and anyone disrupting the law and order situation will be dealt with severely.

Taking important decisions while chairing a meeting of the political committee in Islamabad on Tuesday with focus on PTI’s march and protest, Shehbaz Sharif said any illegal move will be tackled and there would be no compromise on the state’s writ. “All routes will remain open for public,” he added.

Addressing the meeting, the prime minister said such tactics tantamount to sabotaging the economy. “The law will take its course to deal with any kind of violence or provocation,” he maintained.

The prime minister ordered the concerned authorities to ensure security and protection of general public. “Such sit-in protests further ruin the economy and affect the daily wager’s livelihood,” he said.

It was also decided in the meeting to follow the court’s decisions in letter and spirit regarding the sit-in.
