PM spokesperson to conduct new local govt election within a year

LAHORE: Prime Minister (PM) Spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chan said that new local government system election would be held within a year in Punjab. He expressed that it is to facilitate the common people at the grassroots level.

Talking to the media, Nadeem Afzal asserted it is very vital to facilitate city and village level with this new local government system.

Spokesperson said that a constructive change would soon be observed in the country‘s institutions, economy and other sectors due to concrete and positive measures taken by the PM Imran Khan. “New LG system to bring prosperity in the country and will ensure devolution of the powers”, PM said.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) already announced a Ramadan package and given subsidies on food to decrease the inflation and poverty.

“Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government had badly damaged the institutions and economy through redundant policies and programs,” he expressed.

He further said that old system did not deliver for the welfare of poor but only metropolitan cities.

Nadeem Afzal showed determination to resolve all the problems at domestic level including education, health and sanitary facilities.
