KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index closed at 3,336 points, with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 5.813 billion.
The number of lots traded was 8,421, said PMEX release here on Tuesday. (The data is compiled and released after 24 hours).
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 1.656 billion followed by WTI crude oil Rs 1.622billion, currencies through COTS Rs 751.767 million, DJ Rs 618.409 million, NSDQ100 Rs 529.486 million, silver Rs 219.159 million, natural gas Rs 154.064 million, platinum Rs 144.177 million, Brent crude oil Rs 70.603 million, SP500 Rs 26.119 million and copper Rs 20.869 million.
In agricultural commodities, one lot of cotton amounting to Rs 0.475 million was traded.
