KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index on Wednesday closed at 3,461 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 4.486 billion.
The number of lots traded was 7,666, said PMEX release on Thursday. (The data is compiled and released after 24 hours).
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 1.565 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 1.124 billion, WTI crude oil Rs 782.664 million, NSDQ100 Rs 257.089 million, silver Rs 212.114 million, platinum Rs 185.312 million, DJ Rs 130.185 million, copper Rs 107.630 million, natural gas Rs 57.757 million, Brent crude oil Rs 33.165 million and SP500 Rs 29.817 million.
In agriculture 13 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 7.121 million were traded.
