PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Engineer Amir Muqam has announced rallies and protest demonstration against unprecedented price-hike across the province.

This he announced while addressing a press conference at party secretariat in Peshawar, he said that the rulers had become unbearable due to their uncalled for and cruel policies and the PMLN had decided to oust them from the power corridors with the public support.

PML-N leader said that rallies and protest meetings would be staged at district and provincial level in the province which would specifically be focused on failed economic policies of PTI government which shot up inflation and brought miseries for the poor people. Earlier Amir Muqam presided over a meeting of PMLN provincial cabinet at party secretariat which was attended by provincial cabinet, party MNAs, MPAs, former member of national assembly, provincial assembly, party ticket holders in National and Provincial Assembly, presidents and General secretaries of PMLN Lawyers, Women, Doctors, Labour wings, Divisions and Districts. It was largely attended.

The meeting reposed confidence in the leadership of party supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, party central president Shahbaz Sharif and PMLN provincial President Amir Muqam. The meeting discussed the anti-price hike protest and party organization matters.

The participants lauded Amir Muqam efforts for reorganizing the party and making it an effective political force in the province. Party General Secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi MNA and other leaders also spoke.

Speaking at the News Conference, Amir Muqam said that the party meeting had fully deliberated upon the strategy for protest against the government and party organizations throughout the province. He maintained that all the participants contributed their input and placed their respective proposals. He said that the protest and rally would be kicked off from Swat tomorrow (Friday ) and he would lead it. Then, he added, rallies and demonstrations will be staged in the nook and corner of the province.

PMLN leader regretted that PTI had snatched the very right of living from the poor and now its days were numbered. He predicted that the hybrid system had started collapsing as cracks had been appearing in this artificial system. He fully backed the PDM anti Price-spiral protest which would commence from 5th November saying that PMLN would largely contribute to it.

Engineer Amir Muqam said that the present scenario glorified for the ouster of PTI government and the general election would soon be held. He asked party workers to get ready for the election and the protest should be deemed as a campaign for next election. Amir Muqam emphasized upon party leaders and workers to put the party past performance before the people and communicate future line of action to steer the country out of crisis. He insisted that political activities and organization were vital to strengthen the party and run successfully for next general election.

PML-N leader claimed that the PTI had lost the trust of the people and now they were looking towards PMLN as the only saviour to redress their grievances and provide political and economic stability to the country. He added that internal unity and strength and public motivation and participation would ensure easy win for party in general election. He criticized the announcement of local bodies to be held in two phases, saying it is a trick of incompetent and corrupt government.

However he said that PMLN was ready for it as PTI had no future scope and it would not even get candidates in next polls. He asked the people to get united under the banner of PMLN for their glorious and bright future.
