PML-N demand NAB chairman to step down.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central executive committee demanded the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman to step down or provide proof of the allegation of money laundering against former Prime Minister Nawaz.

This was decided in the PML-N central executive committee meeting here on Friday at Punjab House.

Sources within the party said that Nawaz will approach the Supreme Judicial Council to pursue legal proceedings against NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.

The members of the committee agreed to pursue legal proceedings against all those responsible for the ‘lies’ in the money laundering probe.

The members of the meeting condemned NAB’s statement to launching a probe against the former prime minister alleged that he laundered $4.9 billion to India.

Notification issued by PML-N’s central executive committee condemned the ‘extremely irresponsible statement based on a false media report, adding that that NAB chairman allegation is baseless.
