Ghulam Mursalin Marwat
LAKKI MARWAT: Pakistan People’s Party divisional president and former provincial minister Sher Azam Wazir said that said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) is incapable of running the affairs of government as it has diverted its focus to save the skin of Nawaz Sharif and his children who have been disqualified by the country’s top court in Panama paper case, in references filed against them by the national accountability bureau (NAB).
This he said while speaking at a big gathering of party activists in Muslim Bagh near Naurang town. The gathering was arranged to mark the 50th foundation day of Pakistan People’s Party where Domel tehsil nazim Fida Muhammad and other office bearers from Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts including advocate Iqbal Hussain, Malik Ishfaq, Qismatullah, Mashal Khan, Isamgul and Adil Munawar also addressed the workers. The PPP leader said that the policies of former disqualified Premier harmed the country’s interests and its ties with neighbouring countries. “Pakistan did not have a full foreign minister during Sharif regime that made the country aloof in the world”, he maintained.
He said that the PML-N government had no foreign minister for four years besides it lacked the capability to steer the country out of crises. Mr Wazir Said that PPP leaders and workers rendered sacrifices for strengthening democracy in the country. He welcomed the decision of PPP co chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari to decline offer of disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to meet and said that through such a meeting Sharif wanted PPP support just for the sake of protecting his wrongdoings and ill gotten wealth.
He said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto founded PPP for poor, labourers and farmers and always raised his voice for their rights. “The poor and peasants are not on the agenda of PML-N, PTI and religious parties”, he added, saying that the PTI led government badly failed to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and serve the masses in a better way.
He said that the sole aim of PTI chief was to grab power but his slogan to bring change and make a new Pakistan had proved false in the militancy hit province.
“The Pakistan People’s Party has on its credit bigger achievements like formulation of 1973 constitution, declaring Qadyanis as non Muslims, making country’s defence invincible and paving way for legislation against interest on private loans in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, he claimed, calling upon the workers to forge unity in their ranks and start preparations to sweep the coming general elections on all constituencies in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts.
