PML-N- President Shehbaz Sharif diagnosed with coronavirus

LAHORE: PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

The PML-N president felt unwell and ran his coronavirus test which came out positive. He has self-isolated himself at his home.

PML-N leader Ata Ullah Tarar said that Mian Shehbaz needed nation’s prayers as he tested positive for Covid-19. He prayed that may Allah recover Shehbaz and all those diagnosed with this dangerous virus.

He said doctors advised the PML-N president to take complete rest and he would complete his quarantine at his home.

Shaukat Tarin tests positive for COVID-19

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin has tested positive for coronavirus.

Shaukat Tarin has quarantined himself and a meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) was supposed to be chaired by the finance minister today has been postponed.

On the other hand, Pakistan is reporting highest cases in months as country battles fifth wave of coronavirus fueled by omicron variant of coronavirus.

Yesterday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour Shaukat Yousafzai tested positive for coronavirus. Yousafzai recently visited Dubai to attend the Dubai Expo investment conference. Yousafzai said that on his return to Peshawar Airport, he had contracted the virus. He urged the masses to pray for his speedy recovery.

A few days ago, the Covid-19 test of Vice President PPP Parliamentarians and Senator Sherry Rehman came out positive. The PPP leader is self-isolating at her home.

On Monday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Fazal Shakoor was infected by Covid-19. Though the minister was fully vaccinated, yet he caught the virus. He suspended all his activities and is self-isolating.

Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shor after feeling coronavirus symptoms has isolated himself. However, he hasn’t run the Covid-19 test yet.

PPP Hyderabad District President Saghir Qureshi was tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the latest NCOC statistics on Wednesday morning, Pakistan listed 5,472 fresh coronavirus cases with eight deaths during the last 24 hours (Tuesday).

As per the NCOC data, after the addition of eight new deaths, the overall toll has now surged to 29,037 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,338,993 after adding the fresh 5,472 cases.
