PML-N will continue efforts for development of Karachi: CM Shahbaz

KARACHI: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has said that he has no political agenda in Karachi and he is visiting the city for a planned conference of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

This he said while addressing to media representatives at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan Bahadarabad faction office. CM Punjab said that he has not come to the city for political point-scoring.

CM Shahbaz was received by MQM-P leaders at the party’s Bahadurabad office. CM Shahbaz added that PML-N is committed to solve the problems of Karachi especially the uninterrupted power supply in the financial hub of country.

He blamed the K-Electric for the power crisis in Karachi and adding that the city should get uninterrupted power supply during Ramzan.

Earlier in the day, Shehbaz spoke about the role of his party for the city saying  PML-N will continue to work for Karachi’s prosperity.

Addressing a jirga at Mardan House, he shared that Awami National Party and PML-N will walk forward hand-in-hand to improve the city’s situation.

Earlier in the day, Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with ANP’s Shahi Syed.

Later, he will also participate in a conference on CPEC.

Prior to his visit to Karachi, Shehbaz had appealed to the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to bring an end to load shedding in Karachi.
