Poland hails end of Russian gas transit via Ukraine as a ‘new victory’

WARSAW (AFP): Poland on Wednesday hailed the end of Russian gas transit via Ukraine as a “new victory,” after Moscow and Kyiv confirmed the end of the decades-long arrangement.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski wrote in a post on the X social media platform that the cutoff marked “a new victory after NATO enlargement to Finland and Sweden.”
