Police advised to opt precautionary measures regarding coronavirus

ABBOTTABAD:  The Abbottabad Police administration has advised the police staff to opt precautionary measures against Coronavirus for the protection of themselves as well as the general public.

Superintendant of Police (Headquarter) Abbottabad, Jamil Akhtar along with other senior officers and officials from different branches addressed the police in the session.

Addressing on the occasion, Mr Akhtar said the officers/officials suffering from cough, flu and fever should cover their mouth and nose with surgical masks and avoid hugging and handshakes.

He said the person infected with flu and cough should be kept at a distance of three foot and undue movement to crowded areas should be avoided. Nose, mouth and eyes should not be touched by hands as coronavirus entered human body through these body parts, he added.

The SP  further said hands should be washed with soap and keep on washing the hands for 20 seconds. “Sanitizers should be used for cleaning hands and saving from the germs. Handles of vehicles should not be touched while traveling to any place in public transport and try to use gloves in this regard. The steering and vehicle under personal use should be fixed for only one effective person and tissue papers should be disposed of properly after use. ,” he said.

Meanwhile, SSP Traffic Warden, Tariq Mehmood Khan distributed free face-masks and gloves among drivers, officials and pedestrians to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and directed them to wash their hands and avoid shaking hands or gatherings as parts of precautionary measures, besides handbills and pamphlets for awareness on coronavirus prevention.
