Police announce Rs0.5 million rewards for Knife attacker

KARACHI: Police releases pictures of alleged involved in the knife attacks on women in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi and adding that the attacker is alone and appears to be lean man in his 20s.

DIG Sultan Khawaja announced that anyone who assist police department in giving information regarding the attacker which could lead to arrest the suspect would be awarded Rs. 0.5 million.

Police believed that the attacks were carried out by the same person and injured more than 10 women in the city. Police releases screengrabs from the CCTV footage of the suspect Saturday night, wherein the assailant can be seen riding a motorbike moments before attacking one of the victims.

DIG Sultan told media that the suspected attacker appears to be a thin aged between 20 to 29 and usually riding on red motorcycle.

Earlier on Saturday, police booked two more cases reported by victims of stabbing attacks in and around Gulistan-e-Johar this week, bringing the total to five.
